Falmouth Man Stabs Co-Worker: Police

Bourne police said a 32-year-old man remains in critical condition, following the stabbing.

FALMOUTH, MA — A Falmouth man was arrested after Bourne police said he stabbed his co-worker Monday evening.

Cory James Johnson, 30, of East Falmouth, was charged with assault to murder, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (knife) and assault and battery.

Police said the stabbing happened around 5:45 p.m. at Clover Paving on 584 MacArthur Blvd. First responders found a 32-year-old man with stab wounds on his back and right thigh.

Officers, with the help of a civilian, gave the man first aid and used Quick Clot to slow the bleeding. Police said the victim was airlifted to a local trauma hospital with life-threatening injuries and remains in critical condition.

Police said they later identified Johnson as the attacker. Both were employees at Clover Paving. According to police, Johnson and the victim were involved in an argument, which became a physical fight, It ended with Johnson stabbing the victim two times, according to police.

Johnson left Clover Paving before officers arrived, police said. Officers later found him in Falmouth, where he was taken into custody, before being transferred to the Bourne Police Department.

Johnson was scheduled to be arraigned in Falmouth District Court Tuesday morning.
