Falmouth Moto Pizza Closed Indefinitely After Car Hits Restaurant

A driver hit the pizza joint with their SUV over the weekend, striking the gas meter and closing the restaurant indefinitely.

FALMOUTH, MA — Moto Pizza in Falmouth is closed indefinitely after a driver hit the restaurant with their car last week.

The vehicle hit the restaurant's gas meter, causing immediate concern and forcing the restaurant to shutter as repairs are made.

"Sounds like everyone knows but, yes, a car struck our Falmouth building and, yes, it definitely hit the gas meter," the restaurant posted on Thursday.

"Luckily no one was hurt. The most interesting part was when we got to watch (from a safe distance) as the building with all its open flame filled with the rushing gas for 30 solid minutes! Not sure how we escaped fireworks but we're thankful for that."

The Falmouth location is at 500 Waquoit Highway, but Moto Pizza also has a location in Sandwich at 8 Merchant's Rd. #7.
