Falmouth Nov 12 2022 Massachusetts Environmental Justice Map Update

The Massachusetts Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs (EEA) uses data to identify environmental justice population areas in Falmouth, Massachusetts. Policy makers, local representatives and state agencies then use the maps and data to "communicate" more effectively with communities affected by their work.

Falmouth has 5861 residents in five environmental justice designated map locations and a total of 32,517 year round residents.

Three of the 5 designated map locations are in or near the proposed onshore wind high voltage electric cable proposals

1. Preferred onshore high voltage electric route begins within the first block of Worcester Park between the two lanes of Worcester Avenue (Worcester Avenue Landfall) and travels underground to the proposed Substation at the Lawrence Lynch site.

2. Alternative onshore high voltage route begins at Central Park near Crescent Avenue .Central Park comprises approximately 4.24 acres of public park. The onshore export cable exits Central Park at its northwestern corner and continues west onto Crescent Avenue.
