A random selection of around 3000 Falmouth residents during the summer of 2023 were invited to participate in a survey on attitudes towards offshore wind.

Falmouth has a summer population of around 100,000 and a winter population of just over 30,000.

The offshore wind company plans on building a six-acre high 345,000 voltage direct current electric transfer plant and burying cables between 800 and 1200 megawatts through residential locations

On June 8, 2022, at a meeting at the Lawrence School Auditorium, 87 percent of those attending were against the offshore to-onshore project.

The results of the postcard survey remain unknown.
