Falmouth PD Joins Pink Patch Project For Breast Cancer Awareness

In October, pink is the new blue.

FALMOUTH, MA — October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, and Falmouth police are joining hundreds of first responders across the country and switching their usual police patches in for pink ones. Officers will be wearing the patches as well as selling them — it's all part of the Pink Patch Project.

The Pink Patch Project is a nationwide awareness campaign where police departments sell pink patches during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The Falmouth Police Department will be selling a limited edition patch which showcases the Town of Falmouth seal in pink. The patches are $10.

In addition to the patches, police announced they are also selling t-shirts for $20. All proceeds will go to the Cape Cod Healthcare Clark Cancer Center and the Seifer Women's Health and Imaging Center.
