Falmouth Police Issue Alert for Level 3 Sex Offender
Douglas Rose is required to register his address after he was convicted of heinous crimes.

Falmouth police on Wednesday issued an alert about a Level 3 sex offender living in town.
Douglas Rose, 33, of 66 Pires Way, East Falmouth, is required to register his address with police after he was convicted in 2003 of two counts of raping a child.
Currently, Rose is not wanted by police. He said he’s self-employed now.

“This individual is at a high risk to re-offend and ... the degree of dangerousness posed to the public is such that a substantial public safety interest is served by active community notification,” police said in a statement.
Police also issued a reminder that it’s illegal to use sex offender registry information to commit a crime.
