Falmouth Public Library Receives Donation

On Thursday, January 9, 2025 Flotilla Commander Arthur Montgomery and Vice Flotilla Commander Thomas Molesky of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary’s Woods Hole Flotilla met with Brian Stokes, Director of the Falmouth Public Library, to present their annual donation to the library.

The Woods Hole Flotilla has been utilizing the meeting rooms at the main street location for several years to conduct their monthly meetings for their membership. The Falmouth Library staff has been extremely supportive of the Woods Hole Flotilla over the years. Flotilla Commander Montgomery commented, “As a community-based volunteer organization focused on educating the recreational boating public on safe boating, the Woods Hole Auxiliary Flotilla appreciates the ongoing support of the Falmouth Library. This donation is a way of giving back to the library and a sign of our appreciation.”

The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary was created by an act of congress in June 1939. It is the all-volunteer, civilian, unformed, "force multiplier" for the U.S. Coast Guard. Auxiliarists can earn qualifications across dozens of mission areas with the exception of military and direct law enforcement missions. We are always looking for new members to join our organization of "Volunteer Lifesavers". Membership is open to U.S. Citizens age 17 and above.
