Falmouth Stabbing Victim 'Seriously Injured', Public Not In Danger: DA
A trail of blood led police from an East Falmouth residence to a parking spot directly across the street. The investigation is ongoing.
FALMOUTH, MA — An East Falmouth stabbing victim is being treated for serious injuries at a Boston-area hospital on Tuesday, the Cape and Islands District Attorney announced.
Falmouth police received word that a person was stabbed at a residence in East Falmouth around 11:30 p.m. on Monday. They arrived to find a person "seriously injured," and an ambulance transported the victim to a Boston-area hospital.
The District Attorney said a trail of blood led authorities from the residence to a parking spot across the highway, where the trail stopped "abruptly."

Authorities don't believe the attack to be "a random event," and not that a "preliminary investigation suggests the public is not in any danger."
Falmouth Police and State Police detectives assigned to the District Attorney’s Office are continuing the investigation.
