FALMOUTH, MA — Veterans Day will be observed on Monday, Nov. 11. The national holiday was established in 1926 to honor men and women who have served in the military.
Town officials announced its annual Veterans Day ceremony will be at 11 a.m. in front of the Falmouth Public Library to honor those on the Cape who have served. The event includes several honors and color guards as well as participation from local Scout troops. There will also be choruses performing and a few speakers. The keynote speak is Commander Brian McSorley, of the U.S. Coast Guard Sector in Woods Hole.
