Falmouth Voter Turnout Increased In 2023 Town Elections
Most voters cast a ballot in-person on Tuesday, but the town reports that a decent segment of the population used the early voting window.
FALMOUTH, MA — Tuesday's town elections featured more voters participating than in 2022, according to unofficial election results.
5,084 voters out of 27,448 registered voters cast a ballot on Tuesday, good for a mark of over 18 percent. That's a nearly two percent jump from 2022, according to past year election results.
Most people still chose to vote in-person on Tuesday at their precinct, but the number isn't as far apart as some may think.

Of the 18 percent of voters, 10.8 percent voted in person while the rest utilized the early voting window.
One precinct, Precinct 3, actually had more ballots cast through early voting than cast on election day.

The biggest disparities in voting methods were in Precincts 1 and 6, with over five percent more people voting in-person on Tuesday.
