Falmouth Wind Demolition Process Underway

Power Cut Between Turbines and Wastewater Treatment Plant as of September 8, 2022

The Town of Falmouth has hired a demolition company to take down the two nuisance wind turbines at the wastewater treatment plant site that have been inoperable since 2015 and 2017.

The demolition will take place in three steps. The first step is complete as of September 8, 2022.

1. Cut the power between the Wastewater Treatment Plant and the two town-owned wind turbines Falmouth Wind I and II. (complete)

2, Drain all fluids including the gearbox. (next step)
