Massachusetts

The Town of Falmouth has hired a demolition company to take down its two nuisance wind turbines at the wastewater treatment plant site that have been shut down by the Massachusetts Superior Court and inoperable since 2015 and 2017.

The demolition will take place in three steps.

The first step is complete as of September 8, 2022 power cut between the turbines and the wastewater treatment plant.

The second step expected to be complete today September 21, 2022, is draining all fluids and lubricants.

The third step is the demolition of the first turbine Monday, September 26, 2022, removing the second turbine two weeks later.
