Falmouth Woman Arrested After Police Chase: ICYMI

Kristin Sullivan, of Falmouth, was arrested after hitting a spike strip, police said: in case you missed it.

FALMOUTH, MA — A Falmouth woman was arrested Fri., Oct. 7 after police said she led officers on a chase. Kristin Sullivan, 30, of Falmouth, faces a host of charges.

Police said the chase started in Bourne at about 8:45 p.m. Sullivan, driving a 1999 Ford Taurus wagon, had an expired inspection sticker and drove off when an officer tried to pull her over, police said. She briefly stopped and two men exited to the vehicle and surrendered, police said. Sullivan drove off again but she ran over a spike strip deployed by police on Route 28A, police said. It punctured one of her tires, police said.

Sullivan continued on Route 28A and made it to Falmouth but ditched the vehicle on Blacksmith Shop Road, police said, adding she was captured after a short chase.

Sullivan, who had multiple warrants, was charged with resisting arrest, assault on a police officer, and "numerous" driving violations, police said.

Police said the chase was "at or near" the speed limit.

No charges were announced against the two men who were with her, police said.

Falmouth police, Bourne police, and the Barnstable County Sheriff's Department, assisted each other during the incident.
