Falmouth Works Hard, But Can't Stay With Duxbury
Falmouth and Duxbury come out strong in preseason play at the Falmouth Arena, but the Clippers fall.
Falmouth Duxbury Scrimmage: Duxbury 5, Falmouth 1
Falmouth seemed to have the edge with more opportunities to score, but they couldn't actually put the puck away until the second half. Offensive passing worked well for the Clippers, but their defense seemed to be lacking. Duxbury scored first on a nice pass to the winger and a back hand shot into the Falmouth net, and it was plays like that that won them the game.
Clearly, Falmouth High's boys hockey team needs some work if they are going to be a contender this year. Still, it is only the beginning of the season, and both teams will undoubtedly realize more staying power as the season progresses.
