Four Local Students Awarded Scholarships

The Woods Hole Woman’s Club has awarded scholarships to four Precinct One high school seniors this year: Caroline G. Dolan, Kathleen P. Dolan, Annalisa R. Fratantoni, and Ruby L. Gaetani. Club members extend hearty congratulations to these outstanding students as they head to college and regret that it is not possible to welcome and honor them at the traditional May scholarship tea.

Caroline G. Dolan will graduate from Falmouth High School. She was in the high school color guard for four years, serving as captain the last. She will attend Bridgewater State University.

Kathleen P. Dolan is also graduating from Falmouth High School. She was in the color guard for four years, sang with the high school choir and enjoys folk dancing.

Annalisa R. Fratantoni will graduate from Technical Connection Academy, a state sponsored at home learning school. She pursued ballet training, competition, and teaching, and served as a civil air patrol cadet as well as interning with the office of State Representative Dylan Fernandes. She plans to attend George Washington University in Washington, D.C.

Ruby L. Gaetani is graduating from Falmouth Academy. She has trained in figure skating and piano and served as an assistant at the Marine Biological Institution and plans to go to UMass Amherst to major in sociology and biology.

The Scholarship Committee, headed by Priscilla Ruegg, is proud to add these students to the 125 others who have received scholarships from the Woods Hole Woman’s Club since 1980. Donations to the scholarship fund are welcome throughout the year. Checks should be written to the WHWC Charitable Trust and mailed to Kitty Brown, WHWC, PO Box 342, Woods Hole, MA 02543.

The Woods Hole Woman’s Club brings members together to provide enrichment and mutual helpfulness for the betterment of Woods Hole and the surrounding communities.
