Ben & Jerry's also has shops in in Braintree, Cambridge, and Boston that are participating in the promotion, which started in 1979.
“It was our way of thanking everyone for all the love and support they showed us that first year of business in a renovated gas station in Burlington, Vt.,” the company said in a statement.
