Human Remains Found At Scene Of Cape Cod Car Fire

SANDWICH, MA — Human remains were found inside of a burning car on Cape Cod, sparking an investigation from the District Attorney's Office.

On Monday morning, a 911 call was made in Sandwich when a burned vehicle was discovered in the Quaker Meeting House Road area. Upon local authorities responding to the call, human remains were discovered inside the burned vehicle.

"Following a preliminary investigation, the DA wants to reassure the public that there is no threat to public safety," officials said.

The investigation is ongoing.
