Luxury 'Glamping' Campground Proposed In Falmouth

Plans for a luxury campground on Palmer Avenue is being considered by the Planning Board.

FALMOUTH, MA – A campground geared toward a luxury camping experience could be on its way to Falmouth. A proposal to develop the 13-acre camping site on Palmer Avenue for "glamping" are being considered by the Planning Board, according to the Cape Cod Times.

Boston-based Blue Flag Development LLC has a purchase and sale agreement for the Sippewissett Campground & Cabins and has started the permitting process for 98 Airstream trailers and 10 canvas tents, the Times reported. The site would be operated by West Coast-based AutoCamp, which has locations in Santa Barbara, the Russian River and Yosemite National Park.

The campground would feature some pretty sweet digs: Airstreams would include amenities like flat-screen TVs, queen-size beds and sound systems, and tents would come with heated blankets and outdoor lounge areas with grills and fire pits.
