Man Dies After Crashing Car Into Falmouth Home

FALMOUTH, MA — A Wareham man died Sunday when he crashed his car into a Falmouth home, according to police.

Falmouth police identified the man as Austin T. Roberts, 22.

The crash happened around 2:05 a.m., at a house at the intersection of Central Avenue and East Falmouth Highway. Police said no other vehicles were involved in the crash.

According to police, Roberts was driving north on Central Avenue, but he failed to stop at a stop sign. He then crossed East Falmouth Highway and struck a house in the 700th block of that street, police said.

The house sustained minor damage. Police said neither of the two occupants were injured.

The exact cause of the crash remains under police investigation.
