Man Robs Falmouth Hotel Guest At Gunpoint: Police
Falmouth police said William Luz III, 51, also attacked a woman at a Bank of America ATM and tried to steal her purse.

FALMOUTH, MA — A Falmouth man was arrested Tuesday after police said he broke into a woman's hotel room and robbed her while armed with an airsoft gun.
William Luz III, 51, was charged with unarmed robbery, home invasion, armed assault in a dwelling and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.
Around 9:45 a.m., police were called to the Great Bay Motel for a report of a man entering a woman's hotel room, pointing a gun at her and demanding money. Police said the suspect, later identified as Luz, ran away before police arrived. Officers found an AR-15 style airsoft gun at the scene, according to police.

Later that morning, a woman at the Bank of America ATM on East Falmouth Highway told police a man grabbed her purse, pulled her to the ground and grabbed her when she wouldn't let go of her bag. Police said a witness struck Luz, and after a brief fight, Luz ran away.
The woman suffered minor injuries. The woman gave police a description, and police later found the Luz walking on Teaticket Highway.

Luz was held on $50,000 bail.
