Massachusetts Democrats Failed Plan 2000 MW Wind Power By 2020

The Massachusetts wind turbine fiasco is a sad and sordid tale of woe both in and out of the courts and within the Massachusetts legislature as well. It highlights a broken system where states simply have no accountability to anybody even in the aftermath of their own egregious conduct.

Catastrophic failure of the Massachusetts renewable energy goals has led to the loss of health and constitutional property rights in Falmouth and twenty-one other communities.

The Massachusetts Democratic Party Platform has prioritized the Climate Crisis as requiring attention and action on the scale equivalent to a major war. The only problem is the failed land-based wind turbine agenda took the health and property rights of Falmouth citizens and twenty-one other communities.

History shows the state, local politicians, and semi quasi agencies took the health and residential constitutional property rights of Massachusetts residents with no compensation through the poor placement of commercial wind turbines.

The Massachusetts legislature and former Governor Deval Patrick set a failed goal of 2000 megawatts of renewable land-based wind turbine energy by the year 2020. Today that goal has become a health and financial disaster with only about 130 megawatts of land-based wind power installed.

Today Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker right after former Governor Patrick's failed land-based wind turbine agenda is pushing the ocean wind turbine agenda. Critics call Baker tall Deval because he is following the same failed wind turbine agenda as Deval who is about a foot shorter.

Between 2004 and 2005 commercial wind turbine manufacturers and state agencies were aware of several types of nuisance noise and regulatory noise problems from the larger megawatt wind turbines. In 2004 the state purchased two Vestas V-82 type 1.65 megawatt wind turbines each generating 110 decibels of noise each twice as loud as any wind turbine study.

The Vestes type 110 decibel wind turbines found their way to Falmouth Massachusetts where they went through 7 years of court and in June 2017 the Massachusetts courts shut down the turbines forever.

The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection and local health boards have received thousands of certified noise complaints from abutters of commercial wind turbines.
Massachusetts public officials denied procedural rights guaranteed by the US Constitution.

The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection actually brokered a 5 million financial deal on the Falmouth second town-owned wind turbine using American Recovery and Reinvestment Act funds.

The MassDEP required Falmouth to pay back the 5 million if the turbine was no longer energy efficient after the courts shut down the turbines in June 2017.

Falmouth has dragged out the shut down into the fourth year delaying the dismantling of the turbines to avoid paying back the State Revolving Fund where the money could go out to a legitimate renewable energy project.
