None Injured In Falmouth Maravista Avenue House Fire

The fire is under investigation, but no suspicious activity is suspected by fire officials.

FALMOUTH, MA — A house fire on Maravista Avenue isn't expected to be caused by suspicious activity, Falmouth fire officials said.

Last week, the Falmouth Fire Rescue Department responded to a home on Maravista Avenue after the homeowner reported noticing smoke coming from under a kitchen counter.

A fire was discovered in a crawl space under the house and extinguished quickly, fire officials said.

There were no injuries and the house sustained minimal smoke damage, officials added.

The Falmouth Police Department provided scene control during the incident, and the Town Electrical Inspector responded to assist, as did officials from Eversource.

Joint Base Cape Cod Fire assisted on the scene, and station coverage was provided by Cotuit Fire Department, Sandwich Fire Department, Centerville Osterville Marstons Mills Fire Department and Bourne Fire Departments.
