Opposition Grows Against Vineyard Wind Ocean Wind Project

Local residential groups between Centerville, Marthas' Vineyard and Nantucket meeting Monday 8/19 to discuss Environmental oversight of the ocean wind project.

Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker and his underling/hacks tried to railroad the Vineyard Wind ocean wind project through past the local people, past the fishermen, past the other fauna and flora, without a proper Environmental Impact Study by the federal government.

The news media now and in the past has ignored the health, property rights and social impact of these massive wind turbines. The Massachusetts land-based wind projects were a major disaster.

Former Governor Deval Patrick would have been Democratic presidential candidate except for the health disaster over the megawatt wind turbines.

Now the feds will oversee the EIS, because Baker and his RE wind nuts cannot be trusted, especially after the major Falmouth and twenty-one other communities FIASCO knowingly taking health and property rights.

Fishermen have opposed two 220,000 volts alternating current submarine cables between Marthas Vineyard and Nantucket running from the turbines and massive Electric Service Platforms 14 miles southwest of the island through the Muskeget Channel to Covell’s Beach in Centerville.

The fishermen are worried that the spacing of the 84 turbines would have on the underwater ecosystem and the fishing industry is tremendous. The area contains lobsters, crab, squid and other fish around the island. The heat, electromagnetic field, and noise from the cables are a detrimental impact on marine life.

Massachusetts state agencies such as the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection can not be trusted as they are stuck in Regulatory Capture. MassDEP financed the second Falmouth wind turbine with ARRA, stimulus funds knowing the turbine would break state noise guidelines taking health and property rights.

The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection stood down while thousands of Massachusetts residents suffered the two types of noise from wind turbines infrasound and low-frequency noise that keeps you awake shutting down your immune system making you as President Trump said to run down enough to get cancer.

The Massachusetts politicians and media do not care about you, the fishermen and the ocean marine life only 2.8 billion dollars to get kicked back into the campaign Political Action Committees
