Sea Stars Early Learning Center offers a balanced program that incorporates play-based learning, structured lessons, and physical activities. Children are encouraged to explore their interests, whether through music, art, science, or outdoor exploration. There’s a focus on developmental milestones, including fine motor skills, communication, and social interaction. The facility focuses on helping children develop strong social skills through group activities, games, and cooperative learning. There’s an emphasis on emotional intelligence, teaching kids how to manage their feelings and resolve conflicts peacefully. Our amazing helps kids learn to share, collaborate, and support one another, fostering a sense of community. The facility embraces children from all backgrounds and is sensitive to cultural differences, making sure all children feel accepted and valued. The facility features a large, secure outdoor play area with age-appropriate equipment. Children spend plenty of time outdoors, engaging in physical play and exploring nature. There may also be gardening activities. The building is designed with child safety in mind, featuring soft corners, non-toxic materials, and secure fencing around outdoor areas. Access points are monitored and locked to ensure only authorized individuals can enter. There’s a first aid kit and trained staff on hand at all times to handle any emergencies. The classrooms and play areas are spotless, with an abundance of natural light streaming in through large windows. The space is well-organized, with age-appropriate toys, books, and learning materials accessible to children. There’s a cozy reading nook, art stations, and sensory play areas where kids can explore their creativity. Our staff is certified in child development, first aid, and CPR, but they also have a genuine passion for working with children. Melissa Anderson and Leigh-Ellen Ferreira are two Falmouth natives who have spent many years working with children.

FALMOUTH, MA — As of 4 p.m. on Thursday, a couple thousand Eversource customers are without power. Over 1,000 customers in Bourne and Sandwich were without power while roughly 750 customers in Falmouth faced the same issue. In a statement, the company said they are working to address the outage"in the Sandwich and Bourne areas following an equipment issue along Quaker Meetinghouse Road." They continued: "While crews work to make physical repairs to damaged equipment, our system operators are using remote switching capabilities to restore power to as many customers as quickly as safely possible, and have been able to restore power to the majority of customer initially affected by the outage." Eversource officials told Patch that the initial outages were reported at 2:15 p.m.
