Progress: A State Change In The Wind

THROUGH THE GRAPE-VINE I've just received an email stating that H. 2048 was reported favorably out of the Joint Committee on Public Health. The bill is a Resolve to establish a commission to study the health impacts from wind turbines to protect the


The bill will now be voted on by the full legislature.

 

 

It is a small step towards answering the largest questions.

As we all know, this bill is important to all the people who suffer throughout MA because safe wind turbine siting protocol has become “guess work” and remains elusively unknown.

It is also extremely important to honestly understand the health risks to people before we move forward with siting additional wind turbines in MA.

 

Hopefully this is a wake up call to the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection, and the MA Dept. of Public Health that they ARE the oversight authority for the MA Dept. of Public Utilities and the Mass Clean Energy Center. It is important to protect the health, safety and well being of ALL citizens of MA.

 

The Massachusetts legislature is listening to their constituents and cares about the health, safety and well being of the citizens of our Commonwealth.  Our future depends on safe renewable energy.
