Shark-Themed Items Pulled From Cape Cod Christmas Tree Shops
Some items that received complaints included towels saying "Nice to Eat You" and "Send More Tourists, The Last Ones Were Delicious!"

CAPE COD, MA — Christmas Tree Shops has pulled some shark-related items from its five Cape Cod stores amid customer complaints. The merchandise was seen as "mocking" shark attacks on beachgoers, according to CapeCod.com.
Items that drew customers' ire included a "Shark Week" towel reading, "Nice to Eat You," another that said, "Send More Tourists, The Last Ones Were Delicious!" and a tee shirt with "Come to the Shark Side" written on it.
"It is never our intention to offend customers by our merchandise assortment," Jessica Joyce, senior manager of public relations for Bed Bath and Beyond, Christmas Tree Shops' parent company, told CapeCod.com.

One customer told the site the items were "kind of hitting too close to home" on Cape Cod, where there were two shark attacks on people last summer, including the first fatal attack in decades.
