Shining Sea Bikeway Parking Lot At Old Dock Road To Close In September
The closure will only last for two days as paving work is done in the lot. Here's what to know.
FALMOUTH, MA — A parking lot for the Shining Sea Bikeway will be closed in order to get some shiny new pavement in September, Falmouth officials announced.
The Shining Sea Bikeway parking lot at Old Dock Road will be closed for paving operations starting on Sept. 7. Work should be completed by Sept. 9, officials said.
The bikeway was officially created in 1975, but a new section of 7.4 miles was added in 2009. It now runs a total of 10.7 miles from North Falmouth to the Steamship Authority parking lot in Woods Hole.
