Sue Beardsley’s Unique Vision at Falmouth Art Center Show

The show, “Trash Nothing!: The Work of Sue Beardsley,” consists of her signature mixed media artwork made of recycled and upcycled materials. It runs to August 31 in the Sigel Gallery at Falmouth Art Center.

The Opening Reception for the show is Friday, August 5 from 5 to 7pm.

Also opening that night is the annual Members Blue Ribbon show featuring more than 70 works of art in all mediums by the Falmouth Art Center membership.

Ms. Beardsley of East Falmouth is well-known in Falmouth for her found art sculptures which can be seen on lawns and public spots around town. Among the artworks in her new show are a number of larger works, including two three-foot plus worms made out of colorful yarns; a multi-paneled mosaic backdrop; and an ark made of parts of trees undergirded by an elaborate system of mechanical gears.

Also in the show are turned wooded bowls made by Robert Beardsley, Ms. Beardsley’s husband.
