Toddler Loses Toe At Buzzards Bay Splash Pad
The splash park was closed Tuesday following the incident.

BUZZARDS BAY, MA – A toddler was seriously hurt at the Buzzards Bay splash pad Tuesday afternoon. The child was playing on a piece of playground equipment around 1:15 p.m. when the injury happened, prompting a shutdown of the park.
Bourne Detective Sgt. John Stowe, Jr. told the Cape Cod Times the child was taken to the hospital with an "injury to a lower extremity." It is believed the toddler, a 2-year-old girl, lost a toe after she slid down a metal slide and got it caught in a crack, according to Boston 25.
The splash pad was closed Tuesday while officials investigated the incident.
