Tree Removals To Close Part Of Main Street In Falmouth

FALMOUTH, MA — Part of Main Street in Falmouth will be closed Tuesday, while the Parks Department and Baxter Crane cut down two large elm trees on the library side of the street.

Main Street from Library Lane to Shore Street extension will be closed and detoured to Katherine Lee Bates Road during the project.

All pedestrian traffic on the Library Lawn sidewalk will blocked for safety, but the opposite side will remain open for shopping. Signs were set up Friday to give advanced notice of detour and parking restrictions.
