FALMOUTH, MA — An overnight fire at the Upper Cape Regional Transfer Station is spreading smoke that "a large area" of Falmouth, fire officials said.

The situation at the transfer station, located on Joint Base Cape Cod, is being monitored by fire officials, who will provide updates as needed, they said.

Falmouth Fire Rescue has provided mutual aid to Joint Base Cape Cod.
