Vacant Seats On Falmouth Board Of Health, Council On Aging Filled

The Falmouth Select Board made the appointments at a recent meeting. Only one applicant applied for each position.

FALMOUTH, MA — Falmouth has filled vacancies on both the Board of Health and the Council on Aging.

At the Select Board's Jan. 9 meeting, they heard from Board of Health applicant Amy Roth and Council on Aging applicant Pamela Truesdale. Both Roth and Truesdale were the only people who applied for their respective roles.

The Board of Health vacancy is for an unexpired term ending June 30 of this year.

Roth has served on the Solid Waste Advisory Committee for the past four years and has been a Falmouth resident for about 18 years. Roth said she works closely with the Board of Health as the Vice Chair of the advisory committee.

The Council on Aging seat is an unexpired term ending on June 30, 2024.

Truesdale is a longtime resident of Falmouth and has served on the Conservation Commission as their administrator.

She said she's been a "regular face" at the Senior Center for the past four years, including the transition period into the new building. Truesdale said she'd like to expand her role with the center by joining the Council on Aging.

"I feel like I'm part of the family," said Truesdale.
