Verilife To Begin Recreational Marijuana Sales Friday

Here's what you need to know about making a purchase at the Wareham dispensary.

WAREHAM, MA – Verilife will begin selling recreational marijuana this Friday, Dec. 21, Wareham police said. It will be the first shop to sell recreational pot in southeastern Massachusetts and the closest dispensary to the Cape.

The Cannabis Control Commission approved a final license for Verilife on Nov. 1, months after it began selling medical marijuana. It received approval to commence sales Monday.

The following regulations will be in place until further notice, according to police:

  • Anyone going to the store is required to park at Water Wizz, 3031 Cranberry Highway, Wareham.
  • At that location, individuals going to the store will be provided a ticket and shuttle service. No individuals will be allowed in the business without a ticket and tickets can only be obtained in the Water Wizz parking area.
  • The parking lot will be open for vehicles at 8 a.m. and the store’s hours will be 10 a.m. – 7 p.m. There will be absolutely no parking allowed at the Besse Park across from the Verilife Store.
  • No walk up business will be allowed at the Main Street location. You must go to Water Wizz and use the shuttle service.
  • Furthermore, the public is reminded that public consumption of marijuana is illegal and the Wareham Police Department will have zero tolerance for any violations of this.

The shop is located at 112 Main St. It will be closed Dec. 24 and Dec. 25.
