VIPS Golf Tournament Set for June 17

Register now for the annual VIPS Golf Tournament at the Falmouth Country Club.

The 26th annual VIPS Golf Tournament—the largest fundraiser of the year for the Falmouth Volunteers In Public Schools (VIPS)—will be held on Friday, June 17 at . The annual tournament is a shotgun scramble format, with golfers teeing off at 10 am. 

Proceeds from the VIPS golf tournament will benefit several programs, including the school-based mentoring programs and the new VIPS Challenge Program. VIPS programming impacts every student in the district and greatly enhances the overall educational experience of Falmouth students.

The entry fee for this year’s tournament is $125 per golfer and includes golf with a cart and a catered dinner by . Prizes will be awarded for top placing teams in men’s, ladies’ and scotch teams, closest to the pin, and longest drive. Live and silent auctions and raffles—with prizes ranging from gift certificates to local restaurants, tickets to sporting events, and rounds of golf at several local courses—will be available.

Now in its 28th year, VIPS encourages, trains, and supports volunteers of all ages to work with Falmouth Public School students, faculty, and administration, and helps facilitate partnerships between the schools and community businesses and organizations. VIPS provides the district’s teachers and staff members with extra help and expertise, while offering our 1,000-plus volunteers many rewarding opportunities for sharing their time and talents. The VIPS/Falmouth Public Schools partnership serves as a model for school-based volunteer programs throughout Massachusetts and beyond. Last year, our volunteers logged 40,499 hours in support of our schools, including over 8,000 contributed by student volunteers.
