Watch: Falmouth Residents Weigh In On Town Manager Search

Hear everything residents had to say at a recent listening session regarding the search for a new Falmouth town manager.

FALMOUTH, MA — Falmouth is searching for a new town manager and has been since the summer after the Select Board decided to relieve former town manager Julian Suso of his duties.

In the meantime, Peter Johnson-Staub has served as acting town manager as relative chaos has surrounded both the firing and the hiring process.

Recently, the Board of Selectmen hosted a listening session for residents to offer their thoughts, preferences and prerequisites of a new hire.

Most agreed that a better vetting process should be required, highlighted by a statement from town meeting Annie Hart Cool:

"I would like to see someone who does not have a history of being booted out," she said.

According to a job listing for the position, interviews for candidates are set to begin in March.
