Woman, Dog Die In Cape Cod Crash
Officials haven't released the identity of the driver as a Sandwich Police Department investigation continues into the Sunday morning crash.

SANDWICH, MA — A woman and dog have died after an early Sunday morning crash on Cape Cod, local police announced.
Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the woods just before 3:30 a.m. on Sunday. Upon arrival, officers found that a car struck a tree, and a woman was unresponsive inside.
She was later pronounced dead at the scene by members of the Sandwich Fire Department, officials said. A dog was also found dead in the vehicle.

Route 130 was closed for several hours between Snake Pond Road and Quaker Meeting House Road for the investigation, officials said. It reopened at about 7:30 a.m. after multiple agencies responded to assist with the scene.
Police are currently withholding the identification of the driver, and an investigation into the crash is continuing.
