Woods Hole Inn One of Top Ten B&B's in Nation: Report

FALMOUTH MA - The Woods Hole Inn in Woods Hole, MA was named one of the top ten B&B’s in the nation by Bed & Breakfast.com, a prestigious international listing service owned by Expedia.com.

The honor highlights B&B properties nationwide that have exemplary customer service and excellent customer reviews. Judges included SmarterTravel’s senior editor Caroline Morse, freelance travel writer Stirling Kelso, Mashable’s travel editor Jessica Plautz, ShermansTravel’s director of publishing Laura Motta, and Jo Piazza, managing editor for Yahoo Travel.

The Woods Hole Inn was one of only two inns selected from New England, and the only one on Cape Cod. “We are so honored by this award,” said innkeeper Beth Colt, “and it would not have happened without an incredible team of dedicated staff members who work to make sure every visit is a special one.”

Colt and her husband P.K. Simonds purchased the property in 2008, renovating it extensively over several years to it’s current 14 rooms. The Woods Hole Inn has over 600 customer reviews on TripAdvisor.com, the majority of which are overwhelmingly positive.

“Part of the magic of the Woods Hole Inn is Woods Hole itself,” said Colt, “It’s one of the most unique and beautiful places on Cape Cod, a jumping off point for the islands but also a destination in of itself. We are lucky to be in the middle of such a cherished spot.”

Bed&Breakfast.com, owned by renowned HomeAway Inc, is considered the world’s “number one directory of professionally run B&B’s and inns” and was included in Forbes’ “Most Trustworthy Companies” list. This is the site’s 11th annual awards for top B&B’s in the country, a highly curated process based on qualitative and quantitative analysis of traveler reviews.
