Cask ‘n Flagon Shakes Up Winter Warmers, Chilled Cocktails

With the cold air moving in, Fenway’s Cask ‘n Flagon is rolling out a seasonal cocktail menu of “Winter Warmers” filled with signature spiked concoctions ($8.50 each). Additionally, the landmark restaurant and bar is debuting a trio of chilled winter sips ($8.95-10.95).

Designed by bar manager Eric Hecht, the duo of hot chocolate options are stirred with every bit of indulgence: Peppermint Cocoa with Svedka Vanilla vodka, peppermint schnapps, hot cocoa and whipped cream topped with peppermint chocolate crumble and the Cocoa Candy Cane with peppermint schnapps, hot cocoa and whipped cream finished with candy cane dust. For a kick of heat, there is the Fiery Cider with Fireball, hot apple cider and honey and those who are looking for a caffeine fix will find it in the Cask Coffee with amaretto, coffee, whipped cream and a drizzle of chocolate.

On the chilled side, Hecht has created three libations that capture the most quintessential tastes of the season. The Cider Rum Punch combines Myer’s Dark rum, apple cider, margarita mix and fresh lime juice which is garnished with a cinnamon stick ($8.95). The decadent White Chocolate Peppermint Martini is made with Godiva White Chocolate liqueur. Svedka Vanilla vodka, peppermint schnapps and housemade peppermint simple syrup that is served in a martini glass with a rim of candy cane dust ($10.95). Rounding out the collection is the Winter Old Fashioned with Bulleit bourbon, simple syrup and soda water finished with a dash of grapefruit bitters and a cinnamon stick garnish ($8.95).
