Opening Day at Cask 'n Flagon
Fenway landmark celebrates the season home opener for the 47th year

Established in 1969, Cask ‘n Flagon is gearing up for its 47th Opening Day celebration on April 11. Fenway’s premier sports bar and restaurant will be opening its doors early at 8am to welcome in baseball enthusiasts for an early breakfast before heading to the 2:05pm game, or for those looking to take in the game on Cask’s over 60 high-definition TVs while overlooking America’s favorite ballpark.
Chef Donley Liburd has created a special brunch menu for the occasion, featuring a collection of breakfast favorites sure to prepare revelers for the long day ahead: Fresh Fruit Salad with pineapple, cantaloupe, red grapes, honeydew melon, strawberries and blueberries tossed in Greek yogurt and topped with fresh mint ($10.99); Crème Brûlée French Toast grilled and served with a caramel apple compote ($11.99); Eggs Benedict with poached eggs, an English muffin, Canadian bacon and hollandaise sauce served with home fries ($10.99); The All American with three scrambled eggs and a choice of bacon or sausage, served with home fries and toast ($11.99); Huevos Rancheros with scrambled eggs, taco beef, queso fresco, pico de gallo, corn and black bean salsa, served with a flour tortilla ($11.99); Western Omelet with ham, peppers, onions, eggs and cheddar cheese served with home fries and toast ($11.99); Ham & Cheese Omelet with honey ham, Swiss cheeses and eggs served with home fries and toast ($11.99); Fresh Garden Omelet with bell peppers, onions, tomatoes, broccoli, avocado and eggs served with home fries and toast topped with pico de gallo ($11.99); Delight Omelet with tomato, spinach, feta cheese and eggs served with a garden salad and toast ($11.99); and, Chicken & Waffles with buttermilk Belgian waffles and honey fried chicken ($12.99).
On the liquid side, the bar team will be shaking up two specialty cocktails. The Coco-Loco, named in dedication for Big Papi’s final season, is a Dominican-inspired tropical mix with Malibu, Myers’s Original Dark rum, crème de bananas and pineapple ($10.25; pictured). The Watermelon Mimosa is a refreshing effervescent cocktail with sparkling Cava, watermelon liqueur and a splash of cranberry ($10.25).
