Participants Needed for Northeastern Motor Speech Study
Northeastern's Communication Analysis and Design (CAD) Laboratory is Seeking Participants for two Motor Speech Impairment Speaking Studies.
About the Speech Studies:
NEU’s CAD Lab is recruiting:
· Adults 18 years or older who have a motor speech impairment due to cerebral palsy or amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS)
· Children 3-17 years old who have a motor speech impairment due to a motor disorder (e.g., cerebral palsy, Down syndrome, apraxia of speech)

· Participants who speak English as their primary language
*Participants will receive $20-$100 depending on their eligibility and the respective study.
The research will examine the control of speech melody by individuals with speech impairment. Participants will be recorded as they speak sentences.

The studies can take place at our lab at Northeastern University, Room 100 Forsyth Building, Boston, MA 02115 or at the individual’s home/facility.
