What: Wheelock College will hold its 2016 Commencement programs on Friday, May 20, 2016. The theme of Wheelock College 2016 Commencement is "Leading with Passion and Courage."

When: As is tradition, Wheelock will hold two separate Commencement programs. Both on May 20, an undergraduate ceremony will take place at 10:00 a.m., and a graduate ceremony will follow at 3:00 p.m.
Where: The 10:00 a.m. undergraduate ceremony will take place at Temple Israel, 477 Longwood Ave., Boston, MA 02215. The 3:00 p.m. graduate ceremony will follow at the Wheelock Family Theatre, 180 Riverway, Boston, MA 02215.
Who: 161 undergraduate students and 119 graduate students will participate in 2016 Commencement activities.
Wheelock College President Jackie Jenkins-Scott will participate in her final Commencement activities, as she concludes her 12-year presidency at Wheelock in June 2016.
Honorary degree recipients include:
- Reverend Liz Walker, a minister, award-winning journalist, and activist for community healing and cross-cultural dialogue
- Dr. Lisa Wong, a musician, pediatrician, and lifelong arts advocate
- Ellen Parker, executive director of Project Bread and one of the first and strongest voices to recognize hunger as a public health problem in low-income communities
