• Fitchburg DPW Alerts: Week of Sept. 28, 2026 (sentinelandenterprise.com) — Fitchburg's DPW is closing and detouring multiple streets this week for drainage, water, gas, and paving work, especially around Main, Prospect, Mechanic, and Water streets. Expect delays, changing traffic patterns, hydrant flushing in West Fitchburg, and citywide pothole and drainage maintenance, and call the DPW dispatcher or use SeeClickFix for urgent issues.
