BOSTON, MA — Former New England Patriots tight end Aaron Hernandez is scheduled to appear in Plymouth Superior Court Thursday in connection with pending Suffolk County indictments charging him in the July 16, 2012 murder of Daniel de Abreu and Safiro Furtado in Boston’s South End, as well as a non-fatal shooting that took place seven months later, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney's office.

The case will be heard in Plymouth County rather than Suffolk County because Judge Jeffrey Locke, the assigned trial judge is currently sitting there, the DA's office said.
