Attleboro Man Admits to Foxborough Blackout Break-ins

Kenneth R. McKay, 33, pleaded guilty in Dedham Superior Court to three counts of breaking and entering in the nighttime.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — An Attleboro man is no longer welcomed in Foxborough after admitted to breaking into home during a blackout caused by a storm in Nov. 2011.

Kenneth R. McKay, 33, pleaded guilty in Dedham Superior Court to three counts of breaking and entering in the nighttime with intent to commit a felony, the Norfolk County district attorney's office told the Sun Chronicle. He was ordered to stay out of Foxborough, not use drugs and alcohol, submit to random testing and have no contact with the victims.

Police say the three victims lefts their homes because they lost power following a snow and ice storm. After an unrelated case in Bolton led police to McKay's then-Rhode Island home, they found jewelry connected to the break-ins.
