Belichick Backs Injured Boston Police Officers During Press Conference
The Patriots coach had some words of support for the department.

FOXBOROUGH, MA — Known for rarely discussing non-football topics, Patriots coach Bill Belichick took a moment at the start of his press conference Friday to show support for the Boston Police Department.
"On behalf of the team, we just want to send our — express our appreciation and support for the Boston Police Department. Kind of what they've been going through here the last couple days, the injured officers and their families, just I can imagine — I can't imagine but I can imagine the amount of stress that department has to go through and their challenges every day and the difficulty of the situation that they've been put in," Belichick said. "I just want to let them know we're behind them, we appreciate them, we appreciate what they do for us and how they protect us. We're there for them."
