Add lacrosse to the roster of professional sports that make their home at Gillette Stadium.
The Boston Cannons of Major League Lacrosse announced yesterday that they will play the 2015 season in Foxborough, moving from Harvard Stadium due to field work according to the Boston Globe.
“We are thrilled to call Gillette Stadium our new home to kick off the 15th anniversary season,” Boston Cannons Vice President and GM Kevin Barney said in a press release. “Gillette Stadium at Patriot Place is one of the nation’s premier sporting complexes and I am excited for our players and fans to experience Cannons games here.”

The move adds a third professional sports team to the stadium’s event portfolio. The New England Patriots, New England Revolution already call Foxborough home and UMass football will continue to play some games at the stadium through 2016.
