Braintree Named Second Most Irish Town in Massachusetts

If St. Patrick’s Day seemed a little more festive in Braintree than in other places around Massachusetts, that might be due to the fact that the town is one of the most Irish in the state.

According to a study by NerdWallet.com using U.S. census data, Braintree has the second highest percentage of residents with Irish heritage with 42.4 percent.

Weymouth was number one with 42.9 percent.
