Brockton Man Accused of Stealing Vehicle in Mansfield After Leaving Foxborough Detox Center
Police say Roman Cardoso stole a vehicle after leaving a detox center in Foxborough.

A Brockton man allegedly stole a truck from a Mansfield gas station in an effort to get home after leaving a detox center in Foxborough, police said.
Roman Cardoso, 25, was arrested in Mansfield and charged wth larceny of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license, according to the Mansfield Police Log.
Police also recovered a hypodermic needle, according to the Sun Chronicle. Cardoso told police the needle was hidden outside the Norcap Lodge on Walnut Street in Foxborough so he could take it when he was released.

Friday afternoon around 2:15 p.m., police responded to a report of a stolen motor vehicle from Mansfield Gas at the intersection of Route 106 and North Main Street. Police were able to locate the vehicle about a mile away on Franklin Street.
Cardoso pleaded not guilty to the charges Monday in Attleboro District Court. He was ordered held in jail on $2,500 cash bail and is due back in court on Jan. 22.
