Brockton Men Arrested for Attempting to Steal from Donation Bins Behind Foxborough Church

Three Brockton residents have been arrested and face charges after allegedly attempting to steal items from the donation bins behind Saint Mary’s Church.
A 17-year-old juvenile from Brockton was charged with larceny over $250, receiving stolen property over $250, and breaking into a depository. Kemps Andrade, 21, of Brockton, was charged with larceny over $250 by single scheme, receiving stolen property over $250, and breaking into a depository. Cleiton Dos Santos, 19, of Brockton, was charged with distributing a Class D drug, larceny over $250 by single scheme, receiving stolen property over $250, and breaking into a depository.
Early Monday morning, police received a call reporting a suspicious vehicle parked next to the donation bins behind the church on Carpenter Street.

After patrolmen Lucas Drayton, James Cannata, reserve officer James Headd, and Sergeant Scott Austin arrived on the scene, the men were taken into custody.
This is not the first time that the church’s donation bins have been the victim of an attempted robbery. Two men were arrested in August for a similar crime.
