FOXBOROUGH, MA — Arts and crafts retail chain announced it is dissolving, which means the Foxborough location at Patriot Place will close, the Sun Chronicle reported. Liquidation sales have begun at most A.C. Moore stores including other stores in the area like Seekonk and Bellingham. The Seekonk Store is slated to close Dec. 15, but a date was not yet given for the Foxborough location.

“Unfortunately, given the headwinds facing many retailers in today’s environment, it made it very difficult for us to operate and compete on a national level,” A.C. Moore CEO Anthony Piperno said in a statement.

Company management said 40 of the stores will be leased and become Michael's stores. It's unclear what the company's other 105 stores will be turned into.
